Breena's Bubble Conch

Wondrous Item, Rare You can use an action to speak the conch’s command word and then blow the conch, which releases a medium sized magical bubble that travels in a 30-foot line. Each creature in the line must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the first creature in its path becomes restrained, trapped within the bubble. A creature trapped within a bubble can make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw at the end of their turn to attempt to escape.

While Breena was a devout and loyal servant of The Wavemother, she did not harbor the same bloodthirsty tendencies of other waveservants. It was because of this that she created her bubble conch, a weapon she used to restrain her foes rather than kill them. The conch served her well, but Umberlee grew frustrated by the lack of chaos caused in her name, and during a voyage The Wavemother made this frustration known to Breena by sinking her vessel. Breena was lost to the depths of the ocean, but her conch washed ashore, ready to be used again.

This item comes straight out of Cheang Pou-Soi's The Monkey King. Having items that can impose status conditions is an interesting way to spice up combat. Perhaps you want to give your teammates advantage, or maybe restraining an enemy for questioning is more of your m.o. Regardless of how you choose to use this item, it is sure to add some useful versatility to your adventuring kit.
