Weapon (Whip), Rare (Requires attunement) This weapon has 4 charges. When making an attack action with this whip you may expend a charge to make a DC 15 performance check. On a success you make a joke so cheesy that your target has no choice but to groan or laugh, evoking the stunned condition until the beginning of their next turn. This weapon regains 1d4 expended charges at dawn.

When the town blacksmith had heard of his son’s disappearance by the hand of a ferocious dragon, he grabbed his trusty whip and set forth on a perilous quest to rescue his progeny. Having fought his way to the dragon’s lair the blacksmith was rewarded with the sight of his son yet unharmed. He approached only to be cut off by the monster. “This boy is mine,” the dragon growled, “step back before I roast you alive. You cannot kill me, I am eternal!” With a crack of his whip, the adventurer’s father replied, “Hi Eternal, I’m Dad.”

Here it is, just in time for Father's Day, the Whip of Cracking (Dad) Jokes! Like many of my ideas, this item all began with a pun. A whip that could crack jokes was too good to pass up, and the timing for Father's Day was just perfect. I can help but laugh at the scene of a bad guy stammering after hearing the cheesiest joke of all time.

Thank you for stopping by to read my post! Be sure to thank the fathers or father figures in your life for all that they've done!
