Weapon (Boomerang 1d4 bldg), Rare (Requires attunement) This item has 6 charges. When you make an attack with this weapon you may expend a charge to activate its effect. On a hit the target suffers the attack’s normal damage, and if the target moves before the end of your next turn it immediately takes 1d8 force damage and the effect ends.
The Whirlwind Boomerang was created by an air elemental who sought to provide protection to its master, a young girl who had summoned it to the world. After a short time of knowing each other, the two came to care for one another and eventually became inseparable, that is until a tragic event occurred. It was a day like any other that the orc raiders came to pillage the town in which the young girl lived. As the orcs wreaked havoc, the elemental swept the girl from her feet, brought her to a safe location, and conjured for her the magical boomerang imbued with the essence of the wind to keep her safe. The air elemental then darted off to defend its home.

Today's item is relatively simple. The boomerang isn't often seen in a D&D setting, but I think it's always fun to add a little variety to the mix. The effect of this item is a modified version of the spell Booming Blade that will allow for some team based tactics.
